Nolte, Sid  and I was a teacher in the Keokuk ISD from 1948 to 1955. First in the KJHS on Blondeau Street and later at Keokuk Jr. College and High School. I remember well those years as good ones and liked Keokuk indeed. I left to go back to graduate school at Iowa State. I worked at Texas Instruments for a number of years prior to retirement. Olson, Carol Graduated from Hamilton High School in 1981. After graduating I lived in Hamilton until 1984, then lived in Iowa City until 1986. I moved to Seattle, WA where I met my husband, who is in the Air Force. We got married at Fairchild AFB, WA, near Spokane, WA in 1989. We then moved to Luke AFB, AZ, near Phoenix. After 3 years the Air Force moved us again to Germany where we had our daughter, Ashley, in 1994. In 1995, we moved to Beale AFB, CA, north of Sacramento. Our twin boys, Jason and Joshua were born in Sacramento in 1996. Later that year we moved to Vandenberg AFB, where we currently live. In May 1999 we were blessed with our 4th child, Jacob. Before moving to Germany I worked as a cashier at the Commissary at Luke AFB. Currently I am a stay-at-home-mom and loving it! Palmer (Bishop) Marietta class of 1982, I guess you could add Shirley to my last name too.  I got married to Dale Shirley in October of 82. we were married for 17 yrs. and had 2 wonderful children at this time Amy Marie is 20 and taking classes at Southeastern, and is going to make me a grandmother in December or early Jan.  I don't feel like a grandmother though. And I have a boy William who is in the 8th grade this year. After I got divorced from Dale I came back here to Keokuk and met up with my first boyfriend Scott Palmer, well the good Lord wanted us to be together again. Parson, Elizabeth (Meyer) KHS class of '96. Married 2/2/02 to Justin (from Osceola, IA). Graduated from Buena Vista University in '04 with BA in Elementary Education. (Not following in mom's footsteps, just walking beside them.) Currently living in Bloomington, MN and looking for that first teaching job. Justin in an applications engineer for a tech. company in Bloomington, so I'm lucky enough to see bits and pieces of the world when I occasionally travel with him on job assignments. Parsons, Ronald Graduated with the Class of 1964. After working, or more like not working, in Keokuk for a few years after graduation, I went into the Marines in 1968-1970 and went to Viet Nam. Came back to Keokuk on discharge, wrecked a motorcycle, recovered, and since there were still no jobs, I later joined the Army where I finished out a 29 year career. Retired due to physical problems after 20 years and now live in Phoenix, Arizona. Married twice: first time for two years and the second for 30 years so far. One son by first marriage.
I have lived all over the world from Europe to Asia and all over the US from coast to coast and also Hawaii for three years. Although life has been rough physically, it has been a great life with all the travel I have done. Even got caught up in rebel overthrows of governments from time to time. Have not been back to Keokuk except once in 1995 since leaving for good in 1972. No future for me there. Tried to move on and make a life for myself. Patterson (Gilbertson), Barbara- Former resident of Keokuk. Class of "78" I have been married for 21 years have 2 great (sometimes) kids. son Aaron who is 17 a daughter Jessica who is 14. I live in a small town southeast of Wichita Ks. I work in Alco as a group manager. If you watch the Cotton Bowl Parade and game this year look for the High school band named "Chaparral High Roadrunners" Both of my children will be marching they worked very hard for this trip and I am proud of the band. Patterson, Timothy - Married Barbara - went to High School in Clinton, Iowa. Graduated from University of Sioux Falls and later got my masters from University of South Dakota- Vermillion, SD. Moved to Keokuk with my wife and two sons (1985) Andy( 1995 KHS Grad) and Danile 1997( KHS Grad) I was Elementary Principal at George Washington and Torrence from 1985-1990. I moved over to Wells-Carey from 1990-2007. I was principal at Lincoln ( moved over from Torrence) from 1993-2000, moved back to Torrence from 2003-2006 and back to Lincoln for 2006-2007. I am now back at George Washington this year and enjoy having many of my former students as parents of present students. I am a grandfather and have been married to Barb for 34 years. Powell, John P. class of 1960 KHS. Graduated from Culver-Stockon College in 1966. Married Dian M. Boyle in July of 1967. Moved to Quincy, IL. and stayed there till 1976 when I was transferred to Springfield, IL with the Pitney Bowes company. Enjoyed working with them till 1982. At that time, while living in Davenport, Ia, I came down with a neurological disease called Guillian-Barre Syndrome (GBS), was a very trying time for me and my family but I never let it get the best of me. Dian and I have five children which we are proud of all of them. At present we have three grandkids and they are very special to us. Will be going to the class reunion this September and will be looking forward to renewing memories with everyone who can make it back and also with those who have lived in the Keokuk area all these years. Richards, Joe and Erica (Apple) - KHS classes of '88 and '89. We have been married for five and a half years. Joe graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1992. Rippenkroeger, LeRoy and Connie I am formerly from Fort Madison, I went to school at Sacred Heart. I left Fort Madison in 1963 and move to Oregon. I now live in Sandy, Oregon with my wife Connie. Welty, Charles. Resident from 1961-1966. Attended Ft. Madison Jr. High for two years, then family moved to California. I was always impressed by the small town atmosphere. My parents, James and Anne Welty, are now deceased. James Welty was a member of the Ft. Madison school board for a term. Some of the young people I remember then were Craig Karl, Cynthia Patterson, Linda Gray (who lived across the street from us with her Jr. High English teacher mother) Cindy Hall, DJ Smith, and one interesting character Jackie Pennybaker, a quiet, shy girl who always struck me as a unique sort of individual. We lived at 1016 Avenue E prior to moving back to California. My father was employed by Chevron Oil at the Ortho plant. I am now a screenwriter, living in Yorba Linda, CA. I am not married. I am 45 years of age. My current screen project ("Forever the Boys") on the life and work of Moe Howard and the Three Stooges goes into production in 1998, barring any unforeseen problems. Whetstone, Conn[ie] Class of 1954.  Married Nancy Smith of Nauvoo in 1958 - Three children [youngest daughter died at age 26],five grandchildren.  Worked for Hoerner Boxes/Hoerner Waldorf/Champion International - Joined Jefferson Smurfit Corp. in 1985.  Being corporate gypsies we have moved from Iowa to Illinois, back to Iowa, to Indiana, to Tennessee, to California back to Tennessee and retired in 1967 to Florida.  Travel takes up most of our retirement time and resources - we have traveled to over 40 foreign countries since our retirement.
